Comm”UNITY” Extravaganza Saturday 7th March, 10.30-2pm Southern Trust Event Centre, Morgans Road,

  

Aoraki Migrant Centre invite you to be part of the event.

Our vision is for everyone to celebrate the value and vibrancy of our multiculturalism through food and shared experiences.

There will be:

  • International food stalls
  • Performances including dance and music
  • Informative community displays and workshops
  • Lots of spot prizes
  • Inter-agency fun and games


EXHIBITORS SITES (including International Food stalls)

There will be no charge for any information / exhibitor sites. Sites will be limited, so please contact us early to avoid missing out.

  • Site size is 3m x 3m – most sites will not have power available.
  • Sites will be marked on the floor.
  • You will need to provide all your own display set up.
  • Note: Extreme care is required for the wooden floor – you will be responsible for ensuring that any tables, chairs, equipment etc. you bring in do not damage the floor. We expect that you will provide protection for the floor from table and chair legs etc. and around food tables.


INTERNATIONAL FOOD STALLS

We want to celebrate with food from all cultures and this could be an opportunity for your group to fundraise. Please contact us as soon as possible if your group would like to run a stall with food from your specific culture.

  • There will be no charge for approved international food stalls.
  • Approved international food stall not-for-profit organisations/groups will be provided a $100 start-up / koha. This will be paid at the completion of the event.
  • All food stall holders must acknowledge they have watched and understood the food safety resource material attached to the sign up link and registration form
  • As this is a family event we ask that no food item is over $8
  • Application forms to be completed by 31st January 2020


SCHEDULE

Saturday 7th March

  • Site set-up 8.30am – 10am
  • Exhibitors briefing 10am – 10.10am
  • Public admittance 10am – 2pm
  • Clean-up from 2pm
  • Everything needs to be removed from site by 4.30pm

  • Donation of a product or service to be used as spot prizes on the day

Acknowledgement of your kind donations:

  • All donations will be acknowledged on Facebook
  • All donations will be acknowledged on the event website
  • Donations over $70 will be noted by the MC at the time of the spot prize
  • Larger donations will be acknowledged by arrangement and may include personally presenting the spot prize and photo opportunity.
